He’s the Gold Logie winner television presenter who tried his luck out in Hollywood with his comedy talk show Rove LA.
Now, as he gears up his next project, John ‘Rove’ McManus revealed his best and worst celebrity interviews.
Speaking to Stellar magazine, the 44-year-old confessed his interviewing technique was to get his guests ‘intentionally drunk’ as it usally lead to the ‘most wonderful conversations’, but not every chat went that way.

Speaking about Pamela Anderson, Rove said she was once running quite late for the live show and when she finally arrived ‘just wasn’t in the mood’.
‘On air, I ended up asking, “Are you OK? You don’t seem to be having fun”,’ he said.
But things didn’t seem to go any better with the comedian adding that he gave up on her and said: ‘Here is your shovel, you dig the hole, I can’t help you anymore at this point.’

He went on to discuss how he’d been warned of Jennifer Lopez’s ‘diva antics’, only to be pleasantly surprised by her in person.
‘We’d been told she’d be difficult; that she had demanded her hotel room be painted a different colour because she didn’t like it, that she might’t talk at all,’ he said.
But it turns out the star was nothing but lovely and taught Rove to form his own opinions of people.

Rove will be at the helm of Show Me The Movie!, a series set to test viewers on their film knowledge.
Show Me The Movie, premieres on Channel Ten on Thursday March 22 at 7:30pm.
