Desperate search for woman, 95, missing in London for 24 hours

Police are ‘extremely concerned’ for the welfare of a 95-year-old woman missing for more than 24 hours in London.

Eileen Playforth left her home in Harrow, north London, about 10.30am on Friday and has not been seen since.

The pensioner spoke to family on the phone before she left and gave no indication that anything was amiss.

However, a tracking device she wears so he family can monitor her movements showed her going to unfamiliar places.

Her tracked pinged at Kingsbury, Grosvenor Road, and Buckingham Palace Road before running out of battery about 5pm on Friday at Vauxhall Bridge Road. 

Ms Playforth last sighting was her Oyster cars being tagged on a 183 bus towards Pinner at 11:35am.

Police feared she could be anywhere in London and were desperate for leads on her more recent movements.

Ms Playforth is about 5ft tall, slim, with shoulder length grey hair, and may be wearing a maroon dress, a black coat, and beige cardigan.
