Queensland man cracks a beer and fishes from his submerged house

A man is coping with Queensland floods in true Australian style, drinking beer and fishing from the roof of his underwater house.

The moment he enjoyed some recreation on top of one of 200 homes underwater from the floods in Ingham, North Queensland was captured on video .

Sitting on top of the underwater house in a black deckchair wearing a red shirt and hat, he relaxes with no shoes on as he holds up his drink.

Looking casual, he pauses to sip his beer as he dips his rod in the water looking for a catch.

Miraculously, he captures what appears to be a fish but then swings his rod back into the water and lets go of his prize catch.

More than 200 homes were inundated at Ingham, Queensland where flood waters started to recede on Saturday.
