President Donald Trump slammed a ‘failing’ New York Times report on Sunday, which stated he was hiring an impeachment specialist to his Russia legal team.
He targeted Maggie Haberman, a White House correspondent for the newspaper, calling her a ‘Hillary flunky’ for her recent article.
Trump claimed in his tweets Sunday that he is ‘very happy’ with his lawyers and said the New York Times purposely wrote a false article about him.
He tweeted: ‘The Failing New York Times purposely wrote a false story stating that I am unhappy with my legal team on the Russia case and am going to add another lawyer to help out. Wrong.’
‘I am VERY happy with my lawyers, John Dowd, Ty Cobb and Jay Sekulow.’

Trump claimed his lawyers have worked extensively to prove there was no collusion between Russia and his administration.
The New York Times report on Saturday said Trump was in talks with an impeachment lawyer who represented former president Bill Clinton.
Emmett T. Flood, a veteran Washington lawyer, allegedly met with the president in the Oval Office last week, according to the newspaper.
A reportedly four people confirmed the interaction and stated the president was considering the lawyer to join the White House to help with the special inquiry.
It went on to say the lawyer would not replace Cobb, the White House lawyer who has been dealing with the special counsel since the summer.
But instead, Flood would work with the president on day-to-day tasks as he meets with the Justice Department.
An outraged Trump expressed his fury on Twitter once he was made aware of the report.
He claimed Haberman, the lead reporter for the story, ‘knows nothing about me and is not given access.’
