Witnesses said the driver was doing burn-outs in the vehicle moments before flying onto a curb and destroying the house.

‘It feels like something in a movie, the way the car went into the air,’ witness Melanie Price told the network.

Another witness Irene Murphy said: ‘To be honest I thought something blew up … he’s (the driver) an idiot as far as I’m concerned.’

The owners of the property live overseas and its last tenants moved out two weeks ago, according to 7 News.

The house was open for an inspection only hours before the Holden flew through its front bedroom.
