As relationships progress past the honeymoon period, couples find themselves entering into arguments triggered by an array of petty and bizarre situations.
And while some are fair enough, others leave onlookers both amused and downright baffled.
Recently on Married At First Sight Australia, Sarah and Telv experienced their first argument after she picked a fight with him for focusing too much on Snapchat and not enough on what she was saying.
Off the back of this argument, radio duo Kyle and Jackie O called out for other couples to come forward and reveal the hilariously petty reasons why they, too, were ignoring their significant others.

One woman, Nadia, said she had ignored her husband for the past 12 hours because he didn’t leave their son’s undies out for daycare.
‘He does the kids clothes every night but there’s always something missing. Our son is toilet training and we didn’t have any spare undies. It’s embarrassing for me,’ she said.
‘I noticed there were no undies. I was just like “Are you serious?”.’
Another woman, Claire, said her partner’s breathing was enough to tip her over the edge.

‘He was breathing and it was annoying and I thought if we just went to sleep it would be fine but I woke up this morning and it just wasn’t fine,’ she said.
‘Eating is a big thing too.’
Unsurprisingly, food was a common frustration for couples, with a woman named Nicole starting an argument with her husband over spring rolls.
‘Last night I felt like spring rolls from Chinese so I told my husband to go and get it and he came home and he had eaten three spring rolls on the way home and he had only left me one,’ she said.
‘It is now his birthday today and I still haven’t spoken to him since dinner last night. We have three kids and we normally Facetime him at work and we didn’t call. Nothing.’
‘We’re not talking because I had a dream that he was cheating on me,’ one woman said
Gemma had ignored her husband for three days because of an unfortunate incident with French toast.
‘We went to a cafe that I didn’t want to go to for brunch and he knew I didn’t want to go there but we went there anyway,’ she said.
‘I ordered the French toast after spending about 20 minutes trying to decide what to get and there were sultanas in my French toast and I hate sultanas. I kicked up a bit of a stink about it and he wasn’t happy with it and we haven’t spoken yet.
‘I blamed him for taking me to a place where there were sultanas in my French toast – and he continued to eat while I sat there refusing to eat the sultanas in my French toast.’
A humble sandwich was at the centre of a tiff between Brendan and his wife.
‘We get up in the morning and I drop her at the station. I grabbed my sandwich, believing it was mine, and I put a little bit of salt on my sandwich and she doesn’t. She took my sandwich to work and lost her s**t because she took the wrong one,’ Brendan said.
‘Mind you they are both wrapped in foil and they look the exact same.’

Technology was also a sore point for some other couples, with Mitchell in trouble after taking too long to reply to his partner’s message.
I had a dream he was cheating on me. I haven’t spoken to him yet. It’s real to me.
‘I got a booty picture from my misses that I didn’t see. I uploaded a photo on Instagram and after I uploaded it I went back to my messages and saw it and replied,’ he said.
‘Now I am copping lectures because I took too long to reply. It took five minutes.’
Danielle was in the midst of a stand-off with her beau because he was polishing their son’s school shoes incorrectly.
‘I haven’t spoken to my husband since Sunday night when I discovered he had been polishing my five-year-old son’s school shoes the wrong way,’ she said.

‘He is just pretending, I think he is using toilet paper or baby wipes or something and not using shoe polish. When I found out I was livid and now he is sleeping in the spare room.’
The age old ‘cheating in a dream’ argument was also a common theme across a number of the pairs’ arguments.
‘We’re not talking because I had a dream that he was cheating on me. He asked me “Was she hot at least?”‘ One woman said.
‘It felt so real and he was sleeping in bed and I was nudging him to wake up and I told him about it.’
Victoria empathised.
‘I had a dream he was cheating on me. I haven’t spoken to him yet. It’s real to me,’ she said.
