Two bodies have washed up on the beach of an island on Australia’s north east coastline.
The male and female were discovered by a passerby on the northern tip of Bribie Island in Queensland about 8am Saturday.
Police revealed an abandoned jet ski was found near the dead bodies, but it was not yet known if it belonged to the pair.
Water police, detectives and crime officers have launched an investigation into the incident.

The bodies, who’s identities were unknown, were transported from the beach and given to undertakers at Golden Beach about 12.45pm.
Police have appealed to the public for information on the deceased and whether anyone had gone missing since travelling to or from the island.
