An 18-year-old has died after the ute he was driving smashed into the back of a parked truck.
The P-plate driver was travelling along Duffy Avenue in Thornleigh, in Sydney’s north-west at 1.20am with a male passenger when they crashed.
The driver was treated by NSW Paramedics but despite their efforts the teenager died at the scene.

His passenger was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital with minor injuries, according to New South Wales police.
‘The male passenger, believed to be in his late teens, was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital with minor injuries,’ they said in a statement.
‘Officers from Kuring-gai Police Area Command established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the incident.
‘A report will now be prepared for the Coroner.’
According to 9NEWS the teenager had been at a park with friends before he died.
They had been in a separate car at the time of the accident.
