Music festival fashion: Glitter boobs trend popular at Coachella

  • Glitter has become a festival favorite over the past few years
  • Women have been using it more and more on their skin and in their hair
  • It has become popular to put glitter and gemstones on breasts as well
  • While some use glitter above their chests, others use it in place of tops and bras

The ostensible draw of Coachella is the music, but many faithful festival goers treat the annual concert series as a fashion show, a chance to experiment and go a bit wild with their style and beauty choices.

While boho dresses, lots of skin, and floral garlands are all packing staples, glitter has become a major go-to, too — from sparkle dusted in hair parts to sequins on the face.

It’s not all PG, either: More and more women are doing away with crop tops and bikini tops altogether, heading out to the Coachella Valley with their chests covered in glitter and jewels.

Alternatively called ‘glitter boobs’ and ‘disco t**s,’ the shimmering bosom look has totally taken over the festival circuit from the UK’s Glastonbury to Australia’s Splendour in the Grass, with women and models (mostly of the Instagram variety) turning up topless with nothing but glitter for modesty.
