EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Tamara Beckwith to become a grandmother at 48

Never one to live her life in the slow lane, former ‘It girl’ Tamara Beckwith is to become a grandmother at the age of just 48.

I can reveal that her daughter Anouska is expecting her first child this summer.

‘It’s quite daunting for Tamara,’ says one of her pals. ‘I think she’s still getting used to the idea of being a grandma.’

Photographer Anouska, 31, is due to have the baby with her long-term boyfriend, Luke McSwiney, who works in trauma therapy.

She once publicly lamented the fact she was brought up by her grandparents — property magnate Peter Beckwith and his wife Paula — because Tamara was too busy partying. ‘My mother’s high-maintenance,’ said Anouska, whose father is William Gerhauser, son of former Playboy boss Bill Gerhauser.

‘She likes private planes and fast cars and I think it makes her happy. Money has never interested me; all it does is cause pain and conflict and complications.’

However, Anouska and her mother have since made up and Tamara can pass on her tips from raising her nine-year-old daughter, Violet, and four-year-old son, Vero, with her husband, Italian property heir Giorgio Veroni.

Tamara tells me: ‘Giorgio and I are beyond thrilled. Becoming grandparents will be another wonderful chapter in this journey we call life.’

Aniston’s ex love shares baby joy

He enjoyed a two-month fling with Friends star Jennifer Aniston, moved in with Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz and courted TV presenter Lisa Snowdon — but model Paul Sculfor is currently besotted with this little beauty.

The former Essex builder, 47, has just become a father after his wife of two years, health researcher Federica Amati, 30, gave birth to their daughter, Sofia.

‘It’s the most amazing feeling,’ Paul tells me.

‘Words are not enough. I am so proud of my two girls.’

PR tycoon Freud splits with actress 22 years his junior

Britain’s wealthiest public relations man is back on the market. Matthew Freud, great-grandson of psychoanalysis founder Sigmund, has split up with Janet Montgomery, an actress 22 years his junior.

‘They are no longer together,’ a friend confirms.

Freud, 54, who has an estimated fortune of £163 million, started squiring Montgomery just days after his heiress ex-wife, Elisabeth Murdoch, remarried last summer.

Janet, who played a love interest of King Arthur in the children’s drama Merlin and appeared in several U.S. series including Entourage, is on holiday in Thailand.

‘I am traveling alone, for personal growth,’ she says.

News of her relationship with the son of late broadcaster Sir Clement Freud came after Matthew’s second wife, media magnate’s daughter Elisabeth Murdoch, 49, tied the knot with Turner Prize-winning artist Keith Tyson, 48, in an opulent do at Elisabeth’s home near Burford in the Cotswolds. Before meeting Janet, Freud had enjoyed a brief relationship with heiress Jemima Goldsmith, sister of Tory MP Zac and daughter of late billionaire Sir James.

His marriage to Elisabeth, with whom he has two children, broke down in 2014, 13 years after they married at Blenheim Palace.

It only emerged during the divorce proceedings that Freud had secretly fathered a love child more than two years before.

(Very) Modern Manners

How does a celebrity publicly signal his dislike of another prominent figure in this day and age? Using an emoji, of course.

Stefano Gabbana, one half of Dolce & Gabbana, clearly isn’t a fan of Victoria Beckham. When the Brazilian edition of Vogue posted a photo of David Beckham’s wife, Gabbana responded with the ‘thumbs down’ emoji. In case any of his fans missed its significance, he posted the image three times.

What has dressmaker Victoria done to incur the Italian’s wrath? Perhaps it was her support for Sir Elton John’s call to boycott Dolce & Gabbana in 2015 following the designers’ rude remarks about children born to gay couples via IVF?

Harry’s right-hand-woman beats Prince to the altar…

As one of Prince Harry’s closest aides, Clara Madden is guaranteed a prominent pew at the Royal Wedding. Her own nuptials were, however, much more intimate.

I can reveal that the ‘blonde bombshell’, as colleagues describe her, has ‘secretly’ tied the knot with Nick Loughran, who was media adviser to Harry and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

‘Nick and Clara got married very quietly,’ claims a friend.

Nick previously courted Kate’s then private secretary, Rebecca Deacon, so his new relationship allegedly caused some awkwardness at Kensington Palace. He left for a job in PR shortly afterwards.

Clara, who is in charge of project management for Harry and Meghan Markle, formerly worked for William and Kate. They met Clara’s parents when they visited her native New Zealand in 2014. Her mother Robyn revealed: ‘William said to me that Clara is the star of the office.’

Sir Cliff Richard took a break from his High Court travails to see Kathleen Turner’s show, My Voice, at The Other Palace theatre. He will not, however, be following the example of the 63-year-old Romancing The Stone star by talking about his life on stage. The singer, 77, tells me: ‘I would love to, but I’m not old enough yet.’
