7 youths rushed to hospital after stolen car they were in crashes

Seven youths as young as 11 were taken to hospital after the allegedly stolen car they were travelling in crashed in Western Australia. 

CCTV footage captured the horrifying moment the Honda CRV crashes into a fence and a parked car in a service station car park in the Perth suburb of Como.

Police allege the vehicle was travelling south on Perth’s Mitchell Freeway just before 1am on Sunday when the driver allegedly refused to stop and turned right onto Mill Point Road in South Perth.

 

 CCTV footage shows the eight occupants getting out of the wreckage and allegedly trying to flee the scene. Some witnesses tried to chase them while others rush to the wreckage to see if there are any occupants still trapped inside

It sparked a police chase, which ended shortly afterwards when police lost sight of the vehicle.

It’s alleged the joyride ended when the driver lost control as it approached a roundabout along Labouchere Road and veered onto the wrong side of the road.

The CCTV footage shows the eight occupants getting out of the wreckage and allegedly trying to flee the scene just as police arrive at the scene.

Some witnesses tried to chase them while others rush to the wreckage to see if there are any occupants still trapped inside.

The 18-year-old female driver, along with six girls aged between 11 and 17, and a boy, 11, were all arrested at the scene

They were all taken to hospital with minor injuries.  

A boy and girl, both aged 11, remain in Princess Margaret Hospital, Perth Now reports.

No charges have been laid at this stage and investigations are continuing.
