Spanish papers react to news Cristiano Ronaldo could leave Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo dropped a huge bombshell following yet another Champions League triumph, hinting that he could be on his way out of Real Madrid. 

Ronaldo and his Madrid team-mates won their third consecutive Champions League title and 13th overall on Saturday night after beating Liverpool 3-1 in Kiev. 

Spanish newspapers on Sunday morning focused on the latest news on Ronaldo alongside Zinedine Zidane’s side winning the European competition.

At the top of the front page of AS it read: ‘Two bombs from Bale… and one from Ronaldo’

SPORT’s headline was: ‘Cristiano bomb’ followed by ‘CR7 anticipates his goodbye after winning the Champions League and Bale thinks about leaving’.

Bale scored twice, including a sensational overhead kick, to help Madrid win, but admitted he needs to be playing ‘week in, week out’ following the final.

Although the headline on AS was ‘Thirteenth’, at the top of the front page it read: ‘Two bombs from Bale… and one from Ronaldo’ followed by ‘The former resolved the game with two goals and the latter threatened to leave’.
