- Autistic man was violently attacked by two dogs as he was walking New Zealand
- Oliver Beaumont required surgery after a ‘bite so deep it was down to his skull’
- Neighbour saw dog attacking the 22-year-old’s leg as another mauled his head
An autistic mute man was ‘mauled to the bone’ by two vicious Rottweilers and left bleeding out on a gravel road with at least 60 puncture wounds to his body.
Oliver Beaumont suffered gruesome wounds from the two dogs while he was walking along a quiet road in New Zealand at the weekend.
The 22-year-old was rushed to hospital with wounds to his head and face, including ‘one bite so deep it was down to his skull and required extensive surgery’.
Due to his disability the disabled man was completely powerless, unable to scream for help and at the mercy of the savage animals.

The young man’s aunt, Amanda Colmore-Williams, set up a fundraising page to raise money for her nephew’s recovery.
‘Due to his disability Oliver could not vocalise his suffering during the attack so he sustained a prolonged ordeal which was only alerted by the dogs barking,’ Ms Colmore-Williams wrote.
‘He is a sweet kind young man who would never hurt a soul and this attack will severely impact his life both emotionally and physically.
‘Any money donated will go directly to Oli to help heal the pain and try to give him back some quality of life.’
The 22-year-old, who lives at home, goes on daily walks to ‘enjoy nature’ bringing him ‘joy in life’ until the terrifying dog attack.
A neighbour saw Mr Beaumont moments before the incident after he heard dogs barking at Great North Road in Winton, in New Zealand’s far south, Stuff reported.
The witness, who called police, said one dog grabbed the 22-year-old’s leg while the other attacked his head.
Southland District Council environmental services general manager Bruce Halligan said the two Rottweilers were impounded and authorities were investigating the incident.
