Final moments of tradesman are captured on video before he was murdered in Doveton, Melbourne

Security cameras have captured a tradesman laughing and chatting inside a milk bar moments before he was fatally attacked.

Clad in Hi-Vis work gear, 24-year-old Sadiq Husseini appeared to be enjoying a friendly conversation at the Doveton business, south-east of Melbourne, on Thursday night, Herald Sun reports.

Footage showed him trying on a striped beanie while chatting with his friend, moments before he was allegedly set on by two boys in their ‘mid-teens’ in the car park.

The confrontation broke out about 9.20pm, ending in Mr Husseini being stabbed with an ‘edged weapon’ in the right abdomen and collapsing to the ground.

Igor Sekuic, a worker at the milk bar, called Triple Zero after witnessing the violent incident, but despite desperate attempts of paramedics, Mr Husseini could not be saved.

Mr Sekuic said he ran out of the store to help Mr Husseini, who at the time was unaware of the extent of his injuries.

Two males are in custody and charges are yet to be laid.

The milk bar employee said the young tradie, a regular customer, ‘didn’t deserve to die’.

‘I was closing up the shop and I saw four people fighting… two seriously,’ Mr Sekuic told Nine News.

‘They were saying ‘F you’ and ‘F this’ and going at each other and wrestling on the ground… Next thing you know, [Sadiq] was stabbed and bleeding.’

Another eyewitness, a young woman, fled the scene for fear that she might get hurt if she tried to break up the fight.

She woke Friday morning to news a man had been killed in the fight.
