A horrifying smash involving a hatchback and a 10-tonne truck carrying a crane has been captured on dashcam.
The crash happened about 6am on Friday morning on Sydney’s busy M4 Highway.
The driver of the blue car is shown to pull in front of the truck, before quickly being thrown off the road.
Posted to Facebook group ‘Dash Cam Owners Australia’, the footage has been viewed almost 100,000 times in 15 hours.
A crash between a blue hatchback and a 10-tonne truck has been captured on dashcam
The hatchback is shown to pull in front of the truck, causing it to slam on the brakes and run him off the road
The footage opens with the blue car driving alongside the truck, which has flashing lights to indicate that it’s a slow-moving vehicle.
It’s early in the morning and dark so both have their headlights on.
As they travel towards an off-ramp, the hatchback indicates and quickly pulls into the left lane in front of the truck.
He taps his brakes, forcing the truck to also slam on the brakes.
This is called brake-checking, an illegal driving manoeuvre that is commonly associated with road rage.
Still indicating, the hatchback continues to their left, before being hurled off the road by the truck.
The video ends with the driver of the dashcam car pulling over alongside the truck, debris from the blue hatchback strewn across the motorway.

Comments on the Facebook video are fairly consistent, with most blaming the driver of the car for causing the crash.
‘You have to be some sort of special idiot to brake check a truck,’ the top comment reads.
‘Clearly pulled their licence out of a cereal box,’ another said.
While most comments follow suit, one commented that the truck would have been a left-hand drive, and that blind spots were to blame for the crash.
The original poster of the video commented later, saying that everyone involved in the crash was uninjured, and that the video had been provided to the truck driver to use as evidence should it be required.
A spokeswoman for NSW Police says that the incident has not been reported.
The original poster of the video says that, luckily, nobody was injured as a result of the crash
