Another man swooped in to help the injured victim but the 24-year-old woman allegedly bit him on the jaw so hard his face bled, according to The West.

The horrific incident, which occurred in downtown Mandurah, south of Perth, was captured on camera Friday night.

In the footage, a woman, dressed in black, could be seen walking towards a man in a light gray top before he punched her.

The force of the blow made the woman fall backwards onto the pavement, hitting her head, as onlookers rushed towards the man and tackled him.

The pair were charged with assault and disorderly behaviour Monday.

They are expected to face a Western Australia court Tuesday.
