Country music singer Gretchen Frances Wilson was arrested on Tuesday night after allegedly disturbing a flight.
The 45-year-old, who is best known for her 2004 song Redneck Woman, was taken into custody at Bradley International Airport in Connecticut after the flight landed at around 7.20pm.
She was met on the tarmac by state troopers who say she became ‘belligerent’ when being questioned.
Wilson was charged with breach of the peace and was booked into county jail on a bond of $1,000.
It is not clear where she had flown in from.
In her mugshot, she was looking to the side and seemed disheveled.
Since skyrocketing to fame in 2004 with her single Redneck Woman, Wilson has been nominated for 11 Grammys.
In 2005, she won the Grammy for Best Female Country Vocal Performance.
Recently, she has been traveling the US to perform small shows. In September, she is due to perform at a zucchini festival in Ohio and a soybean festival in Tennessee.
In addition to singing and performing, Wilson signed an endorsement deal for her fellow country star John Rich’s Redneck Riviera whiskey earlier this year.
Rich helped her write Redneck Woman.
Representatives for Wilson did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com’s inquiries on Wednesday morning. She is due in court on Wednesday.
The star is originally from Illinois but lives in Tennessee.
