Bank teller, 25, with aggravated robbery in violent holdup

Shelby Wyse (pictured) , 25, was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery on Tuesday for her part in an alleged daytime attack on a woman carrying $75,000

A Texas bank employee accused of being an accomplice to a violent armed robbery last week appeared in court for the first time on Wednesday.

Shelby Wyse, 25, was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery on Tuesday for her part in an alleged daytime attack on a woman carrying $75,000.

Shocking footage captured by a surveillance camera shows two African-American men ambush the woman outside a gas station after following her from the bank where Wyse was employed.

The clip, released by the Harris County Precinct Constable’s office, shows one of the men jump into a car and back over the woman as she struggles to fend off the thieves.

The woman’s husband can be seen rushing out of the store as she continues tussling with the suspect and soon all three are stuck in a battle over the purse.

The woman, who remains unidentified, was rushed to a nearby Houston hospital and remains in critical condition.

Prosecutors say that Wyse rented the vehicle used in the attack. She was ordered to remain in jail on a $75,000 bond

Prosecutors say that Wyse rented the vehicle used in the attack.

She was ordered to remain in jail on a $75,000 bond.

According to Click2Houston, Wyse told detectives that the car had been stolen during questioning, but authorities say that they have no record of the complaint.

Court documents state that security footage captures Wyse watching the woman as while she conducted her business at the bank and sent a text message immediately after she had left with the large withdrawal.

‘Presumably a go signal,’ the indictment reads.

Prosecutors also claim that Travonn Johnson, one of the men arrested in the robbery, is Wyse’s boyfriend.

Mitchell was charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon

Officials have identified the second suspect as Travonn Johnson, 27, and add that they are looking for additional suspects

Officials have identified the suspects Travonn Johnson (R), 27, and Davis Mitchell (L), 31, as the men responsible for the alleged robbery

Cellphone records also show an exchange of text messages between Johnson, 27, and 31-year-old Davis Mitchell, the other man charged in the attack, about the robbery.

The two men were charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and are being held at the Harris County jail.

‘These criminals out there, they are watching and they are looking for easy targets,’ police spokesperson Mark Herman told KPRC-TV.

Investigators said they are still looking for a fourth person who was involved in the crime.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
