A wife is believed to have shot dead her school teacher husband before turning the gun on herself in their Georgia home as their two young children slept nearby.
Adrian Lavaughan Brewster, 50, and his wife Jackielyn Belangel Brewster, 32, were found dead in their home in Cumming, north of Atlanta, last Monday.
Authorities responded to the home after Jackielyn’s friend received a concerning text message in the early hours of Monday morning and alerted 911.

Forsyth County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the home to find the couple’s children, aged three and nine, waiting by the front door.
They found the couple’s bodies soon after.
Investigators believe Jackielyn shot dead her husband sometime over the weekend and then took her own life on Monday.
They have not released a motive.
Adrian, who taught science at Etowah High School, was described as an ‘outstanding teacher’.

‘Mr Brewster was known as an outstanding teacher, respected by both his colleagues and students,’ Cherokee schools superintendent Brian V. Hightower said.
‘I know our entire community joins me in sending our love to his children, family and friends.’
A memorial was held at the school for the slain teacher on Thursday.
The Brewster family lost everything in a house fire in September last year, according to online fundraising pages.
The couple’s children are now being cared for by family.
