The 45-year-old posted a photo to Instagram in which he is submerged in the water up to his chin despite the chilly winter weather.

He captioned the photo: ‘FREE MEDICINE. Every day I try to get into the ocean for a surf or a dip to be enveloped in nature’s ultimate healing centre.’
The chef added: ‘I do love these Sydney ocean pools as there is usually no one around and it is a place of pure tranquility’.
Another word of advice from the My Kitchen Rules star was to take a cold shower if you cannot get to the beach.
‘When I can’t get to the ocean, then a cold water shower is the next best thing,’ he added.

Pete is known for his strict adherence to the controversial Paleolithic diet, with its activated almonds, emu meatballs and bone broth, is well known.

Speaking on Who Weekly’s Who Are You podcast on Thursday, Pete said he once inhabited a world full of ‘LSD, ecstasy, cocaine and alcohol’ as a young chef.
‘In Melbourne… it was more of the LSD, ecstasy, cocaine and alcohol-fuelled environment that I stepped into as a young 18-year-old,’ Pete told Pete Timbs.
The TV personality added he was, ‘Working ‘100 to 110’ hours a week and ‘still going out and partying’.
