Inter Milan have been putting the finishing touches to their preparation for the visit of Tottenham in their Champions League opener.

Luciano Spalletti watched on as his side set to work on Monday with the sun shining down on their base in Appiano Gentile.

The 59-year-old Italian seemed in a jovial mood as he shared a laugh with his players during the session.

It seemed as though the Serie A side were given a few light exercises with plenty of stretching to keep them fresh for Spurs.

And the players will be primed for an earlier kick-off time in Europe’s showpiece competition.

The game will kick-off at 5:55pm as part of a three-season trial, with two games starting early every matchday and the other six beginning at the slightly later time of 8:00pm.

The early kick-off time shouldn’t affect the players a huge amount, though could cause disruption for fans, rushing from work to catch the game.

The Group B clash offers some respite for Mauro Icardi, Radja Nainggolan and Co after an underwhelming start to the domestic campaign.

Inter have won just one of their first four matches in Serie A and Mauricio Pochettino’s side will also be looking to regather momentum having lost 2-1 at Wembley against Liverpool on Saturday.
