Shadowhunters hunks Dominic Sherwood and Matthew Daddario in Brisbane for Oz Comic-Con

Oz Comic-Con is one of the most important events on the pop-culture calendar.

And this weekend, some of Hollywood’s biggest stars have arrived in Brisbane to meet their biggest fans.

From Shadowhunters’ Dominic Sherwood and Matthew Daddario, to Australia’s own Pheobe Tonkin – here’s who to look out for in Queensland over the next few days.

Phoebe, who stars on The Vampire Diaries, will be at this year’s comic con and has attended the biggest convention of all in San Diego, California, before.

Phoebe stars as Hayley Marshall in hit show and its spin-off The Originals.

She plays a werewolf-vampire hybrid and is mother to the child of the most feared original family member of them all – Klaus Mikaelson.

Other stars to offer meet-and-greets in Brisbane this weekend are The Vampire Diaries’ Nathaniel Buzolic, Star Trek’s Dominic Keating and Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Clare Kramer.

 Nathan Jones, a wrestler and actor from Australia, will also appear at the Brisbane event over the weekend.

The 36-year-old most recently starred as Frankie in the American television series Animal Kingdom, based off of an Australian film of the same name (Dichen pictured on set with Dennis Leary and Ben Robson)

Sydney’s two-day event on September 29 and 30 is set to be the biggest in terms of guest appearances, with the event’s website listing various stars as expected to attend. 

Phobe’s co-star Nathaniel Buzolic, who plays Klaus’ tortured younger brother Kol, will also be at Sydney’s event.

The former Home And Away actor has also starred in Pretty Little Liars as Spencer Hastings’ substance abuse counsellor.

Another big Aussie name returning for the convention is Dichen Lachman, who has appeared on The 100, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Supergirl.

The 36-year-old most recently starred as Frankie in the American television series Animal Kingdom, based off of an Australian film of the same name starring Ben Mendelsohn and Jacki Weaver.

She told TV Week that she loved being back in Australia and that there are some Funko Pop figurines with her likeness.

Another Australian on the guest appearance list include Nikolai Nikolaeff, who starred in Daredevil.

Other international stars that don’t have Australian roots such as Clare Kramer, from Buffy, and Matthew Daddario, from Netflix’s Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments, are also travelling Down Under for the event. 

Aly Michalka is a Disney star known for her roles in Phil Of The Future and Bandslam, will also be at the convention.

The 29-year-old, who has also appeared in iZombie and Hellcats, is only appearing at the Sydney weekend.
