Nail-biting moment Air France plane wobbles in the wind during Storm Ali as it tries to land at Birmingham Airport but is forced to abort and return to the skies

This is the nail-biting moment a plane had to abort landing due to Storm Ali’s high winds.
The Air France flight was due to land at Birmingham Airport last Wednesday when strong winds kept it airborne.
Wind gusts of 44 mph buffeted the Airbus plane and pushed it sideways as it came in for landing.
Jeremy Jones captured the moment as the pilot quickly changed course and took to the skies once more.
In the video, the plane begins to wobble as it heads for the runway but the pilot manages to steer it ahead.
But as the plane came down, it shockingly turned sideways in the wind.

Just metres from the ground, the planes wheels almost skimmed the runway in the poor weather conditions.
It wasn’t until they had run out of tarmac that the pilot took the plane back up into the skies.
A gust of 33 mph tailwind can cause an aircraft to have issues depending on if it is at a cruising speed but damaging winds are classified as those exceeding 50-60 mph.
The pilot was forced to continue to fly the plane as the plane runs out of tarmac for landing
