A routine police investigation, which is being coordinated by a local court, has been launched.
But Civil Guard sources said everything was pointing to the incident being an accident.
The post-mortem is expected to determine if the dead man had been drinking before his fatal fall and whether excess alcohol may have played a part in what happened.
