She is believed to be secretly dating The Bachelor’s Nick Cummins following his split with the show’s winning contestant.
And Cassandra Wood – who was sent home in tears on last Thursday’s episode – did little to dispel the rumours during an appearance on Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa Wednesday.
When asked if she was dating Nick, the 24-year-old accounting student smiled and laughed awkwardly before dismissing the reports as ‘fake news’.

‘Umm… there’s a lot of fake news and I believe he’s with the winner and having a happy life!’ said Cassandra, barely able to stifle her laughter.
This rather unconvincing response prompted a radio host Sarah McGilvray to say: ‘I don’t know if I believe you, look at the smile on your face!’
Funnyman Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald then asked: ‘Have you seen him [Nick] since the filming stopped of The Bachelor?’

Chuckling nervously, Cassandra responded: ‘Um… yeah, well, out of respect for the winner, we’d never organise to hang out.
‘But we do live on the Northern Beaches [in Sydney] and I have bumped into him but it was just like a “Hi, bye” quick conversation.’
Later in the live interview, Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli asked the all-important question: ‘So, are you single?’
‘Yeah,’ she said, prompting the studio to burst into incredulous laughter.

Cassandra made similar comments on KIIS FM’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show that same morning.
‘They are saying that [Nick has] now ditched the winner and you two are together…’ said presenter Jackie ‘O’ Henderson.
‘I have seen a couple of those articles, yeah. There’s a lot of fake news…’ she replied.
She also claimed that she was worried about being photographed with Nick in public during one of their ‘chance run-ins’ in Manly.
Tellingly, Cassandra revealed Nick was ‘definitely’ still in a relationship with someone from the show.

The radio interviews come after several media outlets reported that Nick and Cassandra had secretly reunited after filming The Bachelor.
According to New Idea on Monday, Nick ‘struggled emotionally’ after filming the Bachelor finale in New Caledonia in early June, eventually realising he had made a mistake by not picking Cassandra.
‘He didn’t expect things to end that way and wasn’t really prepared to have feelings for more than one person at a time,’ a friend told the magazine.
While Cassandra was apparently reluctant to take Nick back, the insider claimed she eventually decided to give the rugby star a second chance.
‘She understands why he did what he did [by sending her home early]. She believes in fate and thinks this whole thing will just make them stronger,’ the source added.
Meanwhile, NW also reported that the sportsman ‘pulled a Blake Garvey’ and abruptly changed his mind just weeks after declaring his love for Brittany Hockley.
While Nick won’t be in the country on Thursday when the Bachelor finale airs, the insider alleged that he and Cassandra will debut their romance upon his return.
It comes after a production source confirmed last month that the former Wallaby was no longer dating the show’s winner, widely believed to be Brittany.
‘The Honey Badger’s relationship is already over. This is obviously not what we wanted,’ the insider told Daily Mail Australia.
