Temperatures across Britain will plunge into single figures as near-freezing conditions sweep in from Russia bringing an end to the milder weather.
This weekend will be sunny and bright with temperatures of around 12C (53.6F), but the mercury will drop overnight on Sunday, leaving most of the UK waking up to a very chilly start to the week.
From London to Newcastle an easterly Siberian chill will bring temperatures of just six or seven degrees nationwide, but bitter winds will make it feel more like four.
After clear skies on Saturday and Sunday, cloud will creep in on Monday covering Britain in white and grey with widespread showers expected as well.

Hilly and mountainous regions are set for some snow showers but mostly Britons will be faced with rain, wind and fog as they make their way to work on Monday morning.
Forecasters claim we will feel the cold more intensely after getting used to milder temperatures this autumn.
Met Office forecaster Nicola Maxey told MailOnline: ‘Temperatures are going to drop across the country, bringing colder weather to the UK from the east next week.
‘Most of Britain will see single figures of six, seven, eight or nine, due to an easterly air flow bringing cold winds from Russia.
‘There will be a little bit of snow on hilltops in Scotland and the Pennines, but for most it will be rain, wind and cloud.
‘It’s going to be a real contrast to the milder weather we’ve been having for this time of year.’
