A one-year-old boy has died after he was left in a car in the blistering heat.
Emergency services were called to Chester Hill in Sydney’s west about 3:30pm on Sunday but the little boy couldn’t be revived.
Initial reports suggest he was left inside a hot car as temperatures soared past 30C.
The child was found inside the family home, but it is not yet known how long he was left inside the car.
The child’s mother was seen running down the street screaming ‘my baby’ after she was told of the news

Another woman, believed to be the boy’s grandmother, was wheeled out of the home on a stretcher and was treated for shock

She allegedly left the boy, who has a twin brother, in the care of family members for a short period of time, 7News reported.

‘The child had been left unattended, we’re still looking into the circumstances surrounding his death,’ a NSW police spokesman said.
