American Idol host Keith Urban leaves Australia after Easter Holiday with Nicole Kidman

He took a break from his judging duties on what will be the last ever series of American Idol to celebrate the Easter holidays with family back home in his native Australia.

But Keith Urban’s trip was rather short-lived, as the 48-year-old country singer was seen hopping back on a plane from Sydney on Wednesday after only arriving in the city on Friday.

For the long-haul flight Keith appeared to be flying solo, as he journeyed without wife Nicole Kidman and their two young daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.

However, the Australian musician wasn’t without company for the jaunt as he was nabbed by fans eager to grab a picture with him as he strode through the busy terminal.

The Grammy Award winner cut a low-key figure, opting for a casual all-black ensemble consisting of denim jeans and a T-Shirt.

The fitted top served to showcase the musician’s trim figure and collection of body art which decorates his muscular arms.

The Somebody Like You hit maker completed his outfit with a pair of Nike-branded shoes.

His highlighted blonde locks were swept into his usual middle parting and he wore a host of black bands around his wrists while containing his belongings in a slouchy leather bag slung across one shoulder.

The country crooner appeared to be attempting to go incognito as he shielded his face beneath a pair of dark shades, however his disguise appeared to draw more attention as he was grappled by multiple eager fans.

Keith’s tenure in Australia was short-lived due to the fact that he is scheduled to perform live on stage during American Idol’s two-hour show on Thursday.

On Monday, Nicole and Keith were seen taking their brood on an Easter egg hunt around Sydney’s Centennial Park, with the girls scouring for treats with their cousins.

During their holiday, the family also visited the Sydney Royal Easter Show as well as paying a visit to Nicole’s mother’s home.

Keith touched down in Sydney on Friday on his own after wrapping up his hosting duties for the reality show, while Nicole arrived a day earlier with the couple’s two daughters.

Nicole is also due to jet out again to continue filming HBO comedy series Big Little Lies in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, the Raise ‘Em Up singer recently announced that he is set to release his eighth studio album, Ripcord, in May this year.

‘Ripcord is almost done — and it’s been an exhilarating journey,’ said the superstar in a press release.

‘Getting to work with so many new musicians and writers and co-producers has been a divine experience for me — and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it!’

Speaking to ET about the album, Keith confessed that his actress wife actually played a major role during the song writing process.

‘I’m interested in how I respond just when she’s listening. Without her saying anything, I have a particular response that’s not necessarily the same without her. So, it’s important. I need the girl view!’ he quipped.
