The big hit for lips this spring? We’ll be channelling Naomi and Cindy with these iconic looks   

The 90s are on the phone – and they want their lipsticks back. They may have a hard time wrestling them away though as everything about a pre-millennial pout is big news again. There are three finishes you can choose from.

For Charlotte Tilbury it’s all about the nudes with her new Supermodel Lips Lipstick (£24) and Liner (£16, both charlottetilbury.com) in Super Nineties tawny-brown. ‘The 90s were known for that gorgeous statement, tone-on-tone neutral look,’ she says. ‘A sumptuous, pillow-y nude lipstick paired with a darker, browner lip liner was the supermodels’ trademark, and Claudia, Cindy, Naomi and Kate trailblazed the trend. It’s like the LBD of make-up: no matter how you feel when you put it on, it instantly makes you look gorgeous.’

Thea Green at Inc.redible remembers gloss from ‘the era of girl power’ and is bringing it back with Roller Baby Rollerball Gloss (£8, nailsinc.com) – which gives a wet look in three shades and fruity tastes. ‘We wanted to re-create the extreme wet-look lips that 90s icons Cameron Diaz and J-Lo were renowned for. It’s sparked serious nostalgia for me and the team,’ says Green.

Or you could try ye olde groovy frosted look and go with Giorgio Armani’s new Lip Freeze version of Lip Maestro (£31, selfridges.com from Wednesday) which comes in icy sherbet shades of this velvety liquid matt lip colour.

Hand lotion is the latest body care area to be given the luxury treatment. Blame Chanel: its pod-shaped hand cream (£45, chanel.com) not only looks très chic but contains some pretty pampering contents too. Also worthy of being on your hand-cream hit list: 

• Heathcote and Ivory’s new range in conjunction with the Royal Horticultural Society includes RHS Flower Blooms Daisy Garland Hand Cream (£8, heathcote-ivory.com from tomorrow). The packaging features botanical illustrations from the RHS library and the soothing lotion contains daisy and marigold extracts.

• For serious swank, By Kilian White Tea Hand Cream (£42, bykilian.co.uk from tomorrow) smells and feels almost indecently seductive.
