He claims the suspect wanted to murder his daughter instead of just leaving her, Dawn reported.
Jehangir entered his ex-wife’s family home and took her hostage in one of the rooms before using scissors to remove her tongue and disfigure her hands and face.
Thankfully, the victim’s mother was in the house and rushed to get help from those nearby.
The locked door was then smashed in and the victim was rescued before being taken to hospital.
Yet the woman’s father reportedly claims that if his daughter had been left with her former husband for longer, he would have killed her.
Hafizabad District Police Officer (DPO) Sajid Kiani confirmed that the suspect had been arrested and a pair of scissors recovered from his possession.
