One fan is crediting Arsene Wenger, thinking that it was the former Arsenal’s manager plan all along to crush Spurs’ dream.
They said: ‘Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain winner vs Spurs. Big Wenger has only gone and done it again hasn’t he.’
One person believes Oxlade-Chamberlain needs to be Arsenal’s undercover spy as they said: ‘Activate agent Ox!’
Someone else morphed the Liverpool and Arsenal badge together and said: ‘Time for the Ox to bring it home.’
Another person with a series of praying hands emojis said: ‘Omg, omg, the Ox to score the winner vs Spurs!’
Both north London sides have not won the European Cup and so Arsenal fans will be hoping Spurs don’t beat them to it.
The Gunners themselves could win a European tournament this season if they first manage to overcome Valencia in the semi-final of the Europa League on Thursday.
