Customers will earn 10 points for every dollar they spend on Telstra services, and those points can then be redeemed for different rewards, including a Google Home Mini and a Samsung Galaxy watch.

Telstra Rewards expert Jana Kotatko said customers could earn maximum points by signing up early for the programme, having all of their services with the company and keeping an eye out for bonus point offers.

‘The best way to earn points is to enrol fast… customers will be getting something for nothing,’ she said.

‘Where it gets exciting is there are very generous bonus points on certain products and services. There’s lots of points on offer for someone who takes out a new service with Telstra, simply for making that transaction, with thousands of points up for grabs.

‘We want our customers to bring all of their services to Telstra.’

Customers began earning points on Tuesday, with special bonuses being given to long-term users of Telstra services.

Points can be used together with money to obtain some of the rewards on offer.

‘There’s no ‘gotchas’ or anything like that for our customers which is really great,’ Ms Kotatko said.
