Love Island’s stunning new contestant Maura Higgins has been warned by the show’s bosses about ‘offensive language’ after she was caught on film shouting ‘f**got’.
Maura, a model and grid girl from County Longford, was filmed blasting out the controversial term during a trip to Dubai with a friend.
The 28-year-old was filmed in an Instagram video dated March 26, posted by friend and fellow model Jennifer McSween.
Maura was making a joke as she quoted from the cult 2009 film The Hangover, but Love Island bosses were quick to respond seriously to the footage.
A spokesman told MailOnline: ‘We do not tolerate any offensive language in the villa and we speak to all of the islanders to remind them of what we condone to be acceptable behaviour during their time on the show.’

Her friend smiles and giggles before turning to the camera and adding, again in reference to the film: ‘Are you ready to let the dogs out?’
The clip, which was headlined with the caption ‘Summer with my favourite girls… I can’t wait’ was highlighted to the MailOnline by readers.
The film was a box office smash a decade ago but has been criticised more recently as being outdated in the wake of the #MeToo movement.
The video of Maura which was shown to more than 24,000 followers on Jennifer’s Instagram account, comes just hours before brunette Maura enters the Love Island villa and while viewers are still questioning the sudden exit of Sherif Lanre from the show.
Maura – who boasts more than 57,000 followers on her own Insta and who also starred in a music video for Liam Payne – is not shy when it comes to showing off for the cameras.

Earlier this month, fellow contestant Molly-Mae Hague came under fire for her use of ‘homophobic’ language in a historic tweet.
In 2014, the blonde bombshell, 20 appeared to use the word ‘gay’ in an offensive manner as she discussed a contestant on the Great British Bake Off with a friend on Twitter.
While the exchange took place five years ago when she was 15, there has also been a further series of social media activity that has raised eyebrows over the years – including a 2016 retweet from a now-deleted account that featured the ‘N-word’.
