A 27-year-old MBA student and her brother have been attacked by two men who accused them of feeding stray dogs.

The assailants reportedly tried to strangle the brother.

And the siblings faced further harassment after police officers asked the woman to come to the station at midnight to make a statement.

The beating took place in West Delhi’s Shalimar Bagh on November 28, when the pair’s mother, Mohinder Kaur (63), went to check on dogs which were being fed in the nearby MCD park inside her colony.

While she was returning at about 10.20pm, she noticed two men, who live in the adjacent compound, following her with iron rods.

In fear for her life, she locked herself at her residence, following which, the men, identified as Pawan Saini and Saroj Nahar, rang the doorbell.

Mohinder’s daughter Chandni said: ‘I came out and confronted them. They started abusing us. My brother Sumit intervened.

‘The men asked him to come down so they could show him the place to feed dogs. They said the park belongs to them and we cannot feed dogs there.’

She alleged that they were both struck with iron rods.
