Carrie Underwood jokes with hockey player hubby Mike Fisher and son after Predators’ playoff loss

Carrie Underwood took to social media on Friday to post a shot of her husband, hockey player Mike Fisher, after his Nashville Predators were bounced from the playoffs.

The 35-year-old vocalist wrote on her Instagram Stories, ‘Saving $$ on grooming now that he’s out of a job …’ alongside a shot of the 37-year-old Peterborough, Canada native getting a hand shaving from their son Isaiah, three.

The former American Idol on Friday also shared a short clip of the shaving sequence, adding, ‘Prediction: This won’t end well…’

Following the squad’s 5-1 loss to the Winnepeg Jets in the Music City, the Grammy-winner tweeted Thursday, ‘Welp, to me & our 3 year-old, @mikefisher1212 is the greatest hockey player alive & the @PredsNHL are now & forever the greatest hockey team in NHL history!

‘Not the ending we wanted, but we’re alive & well & I get my hubby back, so I say God is good!’

Underwood – who performed the National Anthem at the Bridgestone Arena for the series’ second game – lauded the team’s fan base for their enthusiasm in the losing effort.

‘This @PredsNHL crowd was amazing tonight from beginning to end!!! So amazing and loud…like, REAL loud…you know what I mean,’ said Underwood, who detailed the team she will be rooting for, for the remainder of the playoffs: the expansion Las Vegas Golden Knights.

‘Until next season, I am officially a @GoldenKnights fan! I’ll enjoy seeing them make a little history!!’ said Carrie, who offered her singing services to the team if they ‘need an anthem singer.’

Fisher came out of retirement earlier this year to suit up for the Predators, saying in a news conference that Underwood ‘was excited for [him] to come back,’ and he did so with ‘the blessing of [his] family.’

The Little Toy Guns singer was on social media after People reported that she and Fisher were seeking a new house in the Music City after she fell at their Nashville residence in November in an accident that required her to get 40 stitches on her face.

‘They are completely done with the neighborhood,’ sources told the magazine. ‘The decision came after her fall. 

‘They’ve been having a lot of issues with neighbors letting people in the community to look around and it all escalated after the fall.’
