Jess Glynne pulls out of Isle of Wight performance minutes before she’s due on stage… as she’s left ‘physically exhausted’ after Spice Girls tour
She served as the opening act for the Spice Girls during their final reunion show performance at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
However Jess Glynne, 29, pulled out of this year’s Isle of Wight festival where she was due to perform at Seaclose Park, Newport, on Sunday due to be being ‘physically exhausted.’
The stage was set up for her performance when a festival organiser came on stage 10 minutes after her set was due to start to inform the crowd she would not be able to start her set.

Instead, Richard Ashcroft and headliners Biffy Clyro will have their sets moved forward to fill the gap, though it’s unknown if either act will play for longer than planned.
In a statement, a representative for Jess told MailOnline: ‘Jess had every intention of performing today at Isle of Wight.
‘However as the show got closer it became apparent that she was physically exhausted after a very intense last few weeks of touring.
‘As a result we took the decision to the cancel the show. Jess is extremely frustrated and apologises to all her fans but ultimately her health must come first.’

Speaking previously to Femail, Jess said she does her best to look after her voice and health while touring
She said: ‘It does get tiring. I do burn out, it’s a fact of life. I do have days when I’m not at my best, but I have good people around me and I eat healthily.’
Jess recently said songwriting helps her process her feelings and emotions and when she expresses herself in words she finds the whole process a healing one.
She explained: ‘The moment I got in the studio and started making music everything changed … The reason I write music, it’s kind of like a therapy for me, it’s my way of expressing myself.”

The hitmaker also insisted that she feels ‘reassured’ that she is able to talk about her own ‘insecurities’ through her songs because the music industry can affect your confidence and mental health.
She said: ‘The industry that I work in though, it gives you a lot of insecurities and self-doubt, and it’s quite reassuring to know that somebody like myself for others have definitely been able to talk about it.
‘I just dust it off and soldier through most of the time – I’m not one to dwell on feeling s***.’
She added that she doesn’t make a habit of having big nights out, however, as she’s a slave to her tiring schedule.
Jess explained: ‘I don’t have time to go on benders. I’ve got to look after my voice. If I’m at home I’ll have a couple of drinks – it’s not that simple to go out on a bender right now, but when I can, I will!’
