Crowds flocked to the coast in Newcastle, Northern Ireland to watch a display featuring the Red Arrows.
They were pictured flying in formation and doing amazing aerial stunts as people watched from below.
Those watching the display basked in temperatures of 68F as they watched the Festival of Flight, which also coincided with Armed Forces Day celebrations taking place across the UK, including an hour away in the Northern Irish town of Lisburn.
More than 15,000 people who descended on Lisburn in Northern Ireland for Armed Forces Day could even watch a parachute jump.
The parachutes were emblazoned with ‘RAF’ (Royal Air Force) as they landed as part of the stunning display.
People in Lisburn could watch a fly past by the Red Arrows, a military parade of serving soldiers and veterans through the city and parachute landings.
Veterans Minister Tobias Ellwood and DUP leader Arlene Foster were among the VIP guests who attended the event, which also featured the parade and displays at Wallace Park.
Local mayor Alan Givan described it as a ‘fitting day to show the council’s support for our troops’.
‘I was honoured as mayor to take the salute from the parade as it passed the Irish Linen Centre and Lisburn Museum,’ he said.
‘Lisburn has a long military history and it was fantastic to host a parade of armed forces regiments with their bands, cadets and veterans in our garrison city’.
