A man was injured after being hit by glass that fell from a high rise in downtown Chicago on Friday morning.
The 41-year-old was hospitalized after the glass left a one-inch gash on the front of his head, WLS-TV reported.
The unlucky pedestrian was walking along the 200 block of North Michigan Avenue at around 10.15am when he was struck.

Workers were replacing windows in the building above him when a piece of the pane broke off and fell, police said.
The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was stabilized.
No one else was hurt.
The scene was secured and the sidewalk reopened by about 10.50am, according to authorities. No other injuries were reported

WLS-TV broadcast footage of the cordoned-off sidewalk after the incident, where shards of shattered glass could be seen on the ground.
In the video, police officers are looking up at the Carbide and Carbon Building, an Art Deco high rise which was built in 1929 and now houses a hotel.
The scene was secured and the sidewalk reopened by about 10.50am, according to authorities.
