And Johnson, who played right back at Anfield between the years of 2009-2015 where he won one League Cup, can’t quite believe just how effortlessly the England youngster has taken to the biggest stage.
Speaking exclusively to Sportsmail on behalf of BETDAQ, Johnson said: ‘He has been brilliant, really good.
‘What has impressed me the most is obviously that he has played in massive games and he has played as cool and as calculated as you like.
‘For such a young lad, he is doing great and looks like he has been in the Premier League for 10 years already.’
The born-and-bred Liverpudlian made his first-team debut for the Reds during their 2-1 victory over Tottenham in the EFL Cup in October 2016.

He has since gone on to make 85 first-team appearances already for the Premier League giants, forming a devastating full back partnership with Andy Robertson.
Alexander-Arnold has produced 20 assists in that time, while scoring four goals and that emphatic form led to him making his senior England debut against Costa Rica back in June last year.
Nailing down a regular starting spot for his country has been hard to come by due to fierce competition from Kieran Trippier and Kyle Walker but Just under two months ago, he made a statement of his own when he was handed a start against Switzerland in the Nations League.
He has since been heavily tipped to make the Three Lions right back spot his own and Johnson has no doubts about it either.
‘For me is the number one and I think he is better than both of them [Trippier and Walker]’, he claimed.

When asked how far the Liverpool man can go in his career, the former England international claimed we need to be cautious about his development but is confident he can write his name into the history books.
Johhnson said: ‘We have seen loads of players have one or two good seasons and then years later they are not at the same level, so I don’t want to lump that pressure on him.
‘But hopefully he can be around for a long time and break all sorts of records.’
