What a banger: Former Bachelor star Sam Wood designs a ‘burnt sausage sauce’ condiment for a special Father’s Day ‘dad bod burger’

Former Bachelor star Sam Wood has designed a new variety of barbecue sauce, just in time for Father’s Day.
Father-of-three Sam teamed up with food delivery company Deliveroo to create a limited-edition condiment, burnt sausage sauce.
‘Being a proud father myself, I can admit I’m not the barbecue pro I’ve always hoped to be,’ Sam explained.
‘When Deliveroo suggested we pay homage to Dads and their varying barbecue skills, it was simply an idea I couldn’t turn down.’

The burger features a low-carb and gluten-free bun, and comes with a beef pattie, cheddar cheese, grilled onions, roasted Portobello mushrooms, baby spinach, truffle and chive mayo, and brand new burn sausage sauce.
The condiment was crafted from charred onion puree, beef tallow and house BBQ sauce to replicate the exact taste of a burnt banger.
Deliveroo spokesman Joe Satari said the sauce was designed to appeal to barbecue-loving dads.

‘Dads should have Father’s Day off cooking, and this very special new condiment perfectly replicates the flavour of burnt sausage,’ he said.
‘Dad might not be the master of the barbecue, but nothing says “I love you” like reminding him, and forgiving him, of his failings.’
The sauce will only be available for the upcoming Father’s Day weekend, and will be featured on the dad bod burger at BL Burgers in Circular Quay, Darlinghurst, Paramatta, Newtown.
It will only be sold via the Deliveroo app for $18.00 from Saturday 31st August to Sunday 1st September.
