A burglary suspect was arrested on Sunday in Utah after a woman told police that she woke up to find an intruder standing in her bedroom and staring at her, before rummaging through her closet to look for items to steal.

Tyra Jones, 27, was booked into the Grand County Jail in Moab, on suspicion of burglary,

The female victim woke up around two-in-the-morning. ‘When she turned her light on, she found a woman standing over her and staring at her.’

According to the Gephardt Daily, the victim did not know what to do and froze at seeing the uninvited guest.

She asked the intruder what she was doing there but there was apparently no response.

The victim managed to get out of her bedroom in order to alert her son.

When returned, she found Jones picking her way through the victim’s closet using her phone as a light, according to a statement.

The son apparently knew Jones and attempted to get her to leave but she refused saying she was ‘scared.’

The son ‘had to drag Tyra out of the house and walk her to a neighbor’s house who Tyra knew.’

The woman’s daughter later convinced her to report the incident to police in Moab, about 230 miles southeast of Salt Lake City.

Moab Police officers responded and after receiving several tips from residents they found Jones at the home of an acquaintance whereupon she was promptly taken into custody.

Jones told officers she had been let into the victims’ house by a third person who did not actually live at the home.

Police noticed that there was damage to the home’s back door knob.

Jones currently has several active cases with the Moab City Police Department for similar creepy behavior.

Jones’ bail was set at $10,680.
