Jesse Lopez, 40, was charged with solicitation to commit first-degree murder
A ‘pea brained’ fake weight loss nurse who ran a clinic called ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’, promising to help people slim down despite having no medical training, has been charged again for trying to hire a hit man to kill her estranged husband because she thought he would testify against her.
Jesse Lopez, 40, was already in custody in central Florida in July when she unwittingly asked an undercover cop to kill her husband Daniel.
She was in jail for practicing medicine without a license after being caught in two previous stings giving undercover cops medical advice and, in some cases, prescriptions which she said would help them lose weight.
At the same time, she was getting a divorce from her husband and the pair were battling over custody of their children.
According to police, she started asking around for a hit man to kill him.
Polk County Sheriffs found out and put an undercover cop in contact with her via phone and letters.
In one of the letters, Lopez asked the officer to stage the killing like an accident.
‘Can it be like an accident like a robbery gone wrong or something that cannot come back to me like it was a plan?’ she asked. She signed off: ‘You’re my angel…. I’m so excited to meet you. Burn this letter. XOXO.’
In this letter, she asked an undercover cop who got in touch with her after being informed that she was looking for a hit man to kill her husband Daniel and make it look like an accident. She signed off ‘burn this letter XOXO’
Lopez also agreed to pay the cop $2,000 to carry out the job.
Lopez was caught twice practicing medicine without a license by giving people prescriptions for weight loss plans and operating lasers for facials
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd revealed her letter at an animated press conference on Wednesday where he said her brain was the size of a ‘bb’.
‘This lady’s a nut. But she’s dangerous, she thought she was going to get her husband killed. She intended to get her husband killed. She made every effort to get her husband killed.’
The undercover cop claimed to be a volunteering criminal who’d been told she wanted someone to ‘trim her trees’.
They asked Lopez if she could send them a photograph of the ‘tree’ she wanted trimming and she replied with a photo of her estranged husband.
Police then alerted him to the plot and charged her.
According to Judd, she laughed when they confronted her about it.
He told how she concocted the plan after being first charged and then with assault for gauging another inmate’s eyes out.
‘In her mind, her pea brain, I think the size of a BB but I’m not sure that might be giving her too much credit, she decided that her ex-husband Daniel Lopez was a witness against her in this case.
One of her gyms was called Drop t Like It’s Hot! She is shown above, before her legal troubles began, posing brazenly with Sheriff Grady Judd

‘And she’s going through a divorce and child custody and she’s thinking “hmm, if my husband were out of the way, that would take care of my witness and my child custody issues.”
‘So she starts talking around in the community about how she wants him murdered. And of course being the wonderful people that we are here at the sheriff’s office, we thought we’d accommodate her in her scheme so that we could keep Daniel alive,’ he said.
In a photograph on her Facebook page taken before she was ever arrested, she is seen posing with Judd while wearing a ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ logo sweater.
Judd said she gave customers advice on how to lose weight and injected them with vitamins despite never having been trained.
She also removed patients’ moles and used lasers to perform facials.
She was caught the first time after boasting to police officers that she could perform a facial known as the ‘vampire facial’, beloved by celebrities like Kim Kardashian, which involves extracting blood from the face and reapplying it to the skin.
That time, he was given a plea deal and avoided jail but part of her probation was that she was not allowed near needles.
Months later, she was caught operating a similar organization but this time calling it ‘Jesse’s Gym’ and was taken into custody.
