‘City worker’ HEADBUTTS another passenger during a fight on a packed commuter train from London to Essex
- A man described as a city worker was filmed attacking a fellow commuter
- He appears to be restraining a bearded male with the man’s wrists in his hands
- Then in a sickening moment he attacks with his head – and the carriage cheers
- According to reports circulating online one witness said the victim of the headbutt had been shouting abuse and trying to fight other passengers
- The fight is believed to have taken place on a commuter train from London to Southend-on-Sea on Wednesday
Video has captured the sickening moment a man dressed in a suit headbutted a fellow commuter during a fight on a train.
The violent act was apparently met with cheers and laughter in the packed carriage.
The altercation is believed to have been filmed on a commuter train from London to Southend-on-Sea on Wednesday.
The clip shows a bearded male passenger having an inaudible confrontation with a tall blond man in a suit – thought to be a city worker.
The video captures the moment the man throws his head forwards while holding the other’s wrists
He connects with the other man’s face with a sickening thud but passengers cheer
The victim of the headbutt is visibly thrown down and backwards by the force of the blow
The blond man appears to be restraining the bearded man and has his wrists in his hands.
The bearded passenger then shouts at the suited male: ‘Look at me I’m stupid! Look at me I’m stupid!’.
Then the attacker violently headbutts the bearded man sending him forcibly flying backwards.
Passengers on the crowded train variously gasp in horror and cheer in relief at the shocking move before the clip ends. Other commuters laugh at the scenes.
Witnesses said the bearded man had been aggressive to other passengers in the moments before the taller man grabbed his wrists (pictured right) and then headbutted him
It is unknown who filmed the video however footage of the incident has been circulating on social media since yesterday evening.
According to social media reports, a witness claims the bearded male was shouting abuse and trying to fight other passengers.
The bearded male was taken off of the train at Upminster station where he was arrested by police.
London Transport Police have been reached for comment.
