England have made a dream start against Argentina in their pivotal Rugby World Cup game in Japan.
After an early penalty by the Pumas, winger Jonny May scored a try which Owen Farrell then failed to convert.
Argentina then made things even harder for themselves after a high tackle by Tomas Lavanini on England’s fly-half and captain Farrell.
The second row led with his shoulder into Farrell’s jaw and he received a red card from referee Nigel Owens, reducing them to 14 men.
Farrell then stood up to take the resulting penalty but he failed to convert.
Swing Low, Sweet Chariot rung around the stadium as the thousands of England fans made their voices heard after travelling 6,000 miles for the tournament.
