A man is set to be extradited from the US over the murder of a Thai national in Sydney.
A passing truck driver found Wachira ‘Mario’ Phetmang’s body bound, gagged, wrapped in plastic and covered in a mattress protector on the side of Homebush Bay Drive on June 6, 2018.
The 33-year-old was last seen alive on May 25 last year at a South Hurstville service station, a southern suburb in Sydney.

Police identified the 33-year-old Thai national, who had been living in Australia for the previous 10 years, most recently at Hurstville.
A post mortem examination showed Mr Phetmang had been seriously assaulted and it was concluded he died from blunt-force trauma.
NSW Police launched a search for his car, which is believed to have produced new leads.
Australian authorities issued an arrest warrant for Alex Dion, 38, over Mr Phetmang’s death, according to a federal search warrant filed by the FBI on Friday.
Dion, who was already in custody in San Diego on a domestic violence charge, is expected to be extradited to Australia on Friday.
