A U.S. Army sergeant has been accused of shooting dead his wife in their Mississippi home while their three children were close by.
Percy Harris, 33, was charged with murdering his 36-year-old wife Shauna Harris in Oak Grove, just outside Hattiesburg, on Sunday night.
Police were called to the home at about 10.45pm after one of the children called 911 to report that the couple were arguing.

The boy met with deputies outside the home and said he thought he heard a gunshot while he was waiting for them to arrive, The Hattiesburg American reports.
Police searched the home and found Shauna’s body inside.
She is believed to have died from a gunshot wound, according to authorities.
Her husband was arrested and charged. Harris is being held without bail at a county jail.
The couple’s three children were inside the home when the shooting occurred but were unharmed.

Harris is a supply sergeant in the U.S. Army.
His wife had worked at a spa and salon in the nearby area.
Friends and relatives took to social media to express their shock over Shauna’s death and the arrest of her husband.
‘Praying for Percy. I just can’t believe this. He was one squared away supply sergeant while we was overseas. I pray for his children and everyone involved,’ one woman wrote.
Another wrote: ‘Tell me this ain’t true. He is one of the most genuine people I’ve served with. No way he would do something like this.’
