A 12-year-old Texas boy is being hailed a hero after saving his great-grandparents lives when his older brother allegedly stabbed them in the head and neck on Sunday.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez revealed that Sacha was a ‘hero’ after he placed 20-year-old Lucian Johnston in a chokehold and wrangled a knife out of the older man’s hand during the dangerous struggle.

The great-grandparents were dropping Johnston off at a friend’s house when the great-grandmother, 92, reportedly said he could not return home until he saw a doctor for his behavior.

Johnston, who was sitting in the backseat with Sacha, became enraged and began stabbing his great-grandparents with a knife, officials say.

The husband, 72, quickly stopped the car near Katy as Johnston continually stabbed the couple in the head and the neck.

That’s when Sacha jumped into action and took on his older brother in a lifesaving move.

‘What I did was I grabbed him from behind. I pulled him backwards trying to get him away from grandma,’ Sacha told ABC 13.

‘But I did grab the knife. I held that to his neck also. He bent back my finger, which is still sore right now.  He head-butted me, which I have a loose tooth from that, but I do not really care,’ he continued.

Eventually, Sacha got a hold of the weapon and flung it out of the car window.

‘So I’m still looking at the knife in my hand, throw it, shut and lock the door. I yell at [my great-grandmother] to shut and lock her door,’ he said.

Authorities say that the great-grandparents then drove themselves to a local hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
