Arsenal’s hopes of signing Ajax playmaker Hakim Ziyech have been handed a boost after the winger was reportedly told he can leave this month.
The 26-year-old caught the eye in the Dutch club’s stunning run to the Champions League semi-finals last season.
He has also impressed this season both in Europe and the Eredivisie

The 26-year-old played a pivotal role in Ajax’s thrilling 4-4 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in November.
His form has put him on the radar of Europe’s top clubs including north London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham.
And Italian outlet CalcioMercato claim the Moroccan international has been given the green light to seek a move away from the Amsterdam club this month if his asking price is met.
Ziyech was a key part of the side that won the Dutch title and reached the semi-finals of the last season, notching 21 goals and registering 18 assists across all competitions along the way.
The 26-year-old has impressed over recent seasons since joining from FC Twente in 2016
