Chaos has unfolded in a quiet neighbourhood after a shirtless man was seen standing on the roof of a house wielding a knife.
Several police officers were called to Brisbane Water Drive in Point Clare, on New South Wales’ Central Coast, on Sunday evening to speak with the man.
NSW Police confirmed that a police operation was underway but said there was no threat to the community.

The man was captured walking across the roof of a property whilst carrying the knife and a phone
Video footage shows the man walking along the roof smoking while he carries the knife along with a mobile phone.
Heavily armed officers and members from the NSW Fire and Rescue team were also seen outside the home, along with an ambulance.
Residents in Point Clare have also said a helicopter is circling the area and a tactical response vehicle was seen in the suburb.
Brisbane Water Drive is still open but may be closed.
Paramedics were seen waiting outside the home with a stretcher.
