Sick words dad told his own 11-year-old daughter before he raped her are revealed – but he’ll walk free next year
A father has pleaded guilty to raping his own daughter from the age of 11.
The man – who cannot be named to protect the identity of the girl – indecently treated and raped his daughter in Queensland between 1998 and 2003, News-Mail reported.
She was aged between 11 and 15 at the time.
A court heard how the father told the girl she ‘needed to learn what a lady does’ before the first a sickening assault’.
He also threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the abuse.
Another attack saw the man prey on his daughter while she was watching TV.
On another occasion he watched porn while sitting next to her and, after she moved out, he told her she could come round and have sex with her.
The man did not deny any of the attacks and his barrister Callan Cassidy said his client was remorseful.
Judge Leanne Clare said the father’s behaviour was ‘abhorrent’ and jailed him for five years, suspended after 20 months, meaning he could walk free late next year.
‘She was your own daughter, you were meant to protect her, you were meant to be the person she could trust the most in the world, that is what father’s are for,’ the judge said during the sentencing on Friday.
‘Instead you poisoned her most formative years, you took her childhood from her and you did it in the guise of a supposed practical lessons on safe sex.
‘You made your own child feel like a sex object,’ she added.
